The “pink moment” is a local phenomenon in the California town of Ojai, that either may, or may not occur at sunset. During optimum conditions, the ridge line on the Topa Topa Mountain Range will briefly glow pink as the sun sets over the horizon. It is extraordinary if it is covered in a rare snow, and is visible from town, down to the ocean. This will also happen when I drop a strawberry into my champagne flute.
